All meetings are held at St Peter's Church Hall, Church Road, Earley RG6 1EY and start at 7:30pm unless otherwise specifically stated.


21st September
AGM and Talk on the Watlington Hoard - Cyfarfod Blynyddol ac Araith ar Drysor Watlington
Hosted by Liz Jackson, who will introduce a talk by James Mather on the Watlington Hoard, Viking silver and artefacts unearthed near Oxford in 2015. This will be followed by the AGM to elect new Society officers and committee members. Cheese and wine will later be available.

19th October
Talk on the Development of Industrial South Wales - Araith ar Ddatblygiad Diwydiannol yn Ne Cymru
Hosted by Richard Eley, who will introduce Bob Williams, who will talk about the origins and development of industrial South Wales.

16th November
Terry's Trivia - Manion Bethau Terry
Hosted by Elin and Terry Owen. Plenty of brain searching questions about recent news events and general knowledge. Bring along your thinking caps, they will be needed. Teams of four will compete for prizes.

21st December
Christmas Party - Parti Nadolig
Wine, soft drinks, finger food, carols, readings, quiz and Christmas entertainment.

09th March
St David's Day Dinner - Cinio Dydd Gwyl Dewi Sant
Our traditional dinner with entertainment to celebrate St David's Day. The venue for the evening is the Caversham Heath Golf Club, Chazey Heath, Mapledurham, Reading RG4 7TR. The entertainment for the evening will be provided by Emilie Parry Williams, a classical soprano. A link to her website is provided on our Welsh Links page.

15th March
Talk on the Joneses of Jesus College Oxford - Araith am y Joneses, Coleg yr Iesu Rhydychain
The evening is hosted by Hedley Thomas, though details have not yet been finalised. This will be a talk about Jesus College Oxford by Mark Davies, specifically founded for the "Sons of Cambria".

12th April
Members Evening on Antiques - Cyfarfod yr Aelodau ar Hen Gelfi
Hosted by Hedley Thomas. Society members will have the opportunity to bring along antiques and talk about them to the society. The evening will also include a quiz on antiques.

17th May
History of the London Welsh Centre - Hanes Canolfan Gymraeg Llundain
The evening is hosted by Hedley Thomas, who will introduce Nicola Parry. Nicola will talk about the history and services of the London Welsh Centre.

21st June
Walk and Pub Supper - Taith Gerdded a Swper mewn Tafarn
Details of this event have yet to be finalised. As the last meeting of the year, it will be an opportunity for members to enjoy a short walk followed by a pub supper. This was a successful event last year and is being repeated.
