It was agreed that all revenue from the raffle would be split between two charities - Ty Hafan and Age Concern. Thank you to all who donated prizes and bought tickets.
The evening was a great success with nearly sixty members and their friends in attendance. The MC for the evening was Richard Eley and we were entertained by the young Welsh clarinettist Rhys Taylor. Born in Aberystwyth, West Wales, into a passionately committed yet musically eclectic home, Rhys played clarinet as a young boy and by the age of eleven he was a member of the National Children's Orchestra of Great Britain, where he realised his ambition of becoming a professional clarinettist.

Not only was Rhys a consummate musician with great artistic flair, but he was also able to build a warm and relaxed rapport with the audience. Many commented after the event, on how they had enjoyed the evening, with the best entertainment in years.
